ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The total disposal area for this facility is under 2 acres in size. The area has been surveyed and edge of waste markers
have been installed. Edge of waste markers are visible from one to the next.
2. The NLCID has been covered with soil. A large pile of soil had been staged on top of the NLCID. No unacceptable
wastes were observed within the stockpile of soil. The soil is screened for unacceptable wastes prior to being utilized
for cover. Unacceptable wastes are removed from the waste stream, as they are encountered, for disposal at a properly
permitted facility.
3. Erosion rills were observed on the southwestern side slope. The southwestern side slope appeared to be steeper than
three horizontal to one vertical. Mr. Cash stated that he was in the process of adding additional soil to the NLCID to
meet the final three horizontal to one vertical ratio. Ensure that erosion rills are repaired and that all waste is
completely covered with soil, vegetated, and the side slopes are no steeper than three horizontal to one vertical.
4. The NLCID MUST be closed in accordance with 15A NCAC 13B .0567 Closure and Post -closure Requirements
for LCIDLFs by January 1, 2026.
5. Digital pictures were taken during the inspection.
