No Permit required PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Comprehensive Facility Compliance Inspection. STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 4 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 - This Notified LCID is located on the same site as 7202T-TRANSFER-1995, Permitted Transfer Station. 02 - The Transfer Station is permitted to receive Yard Waste also. 03 - The Land Clearing waste is chipped up as Mulch and some is mixed in with the Yard Trash and Composted. 04 - Inert Debris are stockpiled and then crushed for road use. Small amount on-site to be crushed. 05 - All nonconforming waste brought in with the LCID is removed from the piles and put into the transfer station for removal to the East Carolina Regional Landfill (0803-MSWLF-1993) in Bertie County or put with other recyclables. 06 - The total area appears to be less than 2 acres. Be sure to keep area less than 2 acres to keep as a notified site. 2 acres or over will require an Individual Permit. 07 - Roads are made of all-weather construction and is secured by locking gates and fenceing. 08 - Temperature records are being kept on computer, but were not reviewed during this inspection. 09 - Windrows/Piles are present with approximately 25 feet fire lanes around pile(s) and windrows for fire suppression equipment. 10 - Facility is on a waiting list to have land clearing waste ground into mulch with The Shavender Company. 11 - Overall management of this area appears to be managed well. 12 - Covid-19 requirements were followed before and during this inspection. 13 - Digital pictures taken during this inspection and several attached.
