PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Comprehensive Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. The facility is utilized as a yard waste convenience center available to residents of the Town of Holly Springs. It is also used as a temporary storage site for bulk leaves collected curbside from residents. Yard waste is removed from the site on a weekly basis by contractors, which include Duncan Recycling, Triangle Forest Products, and Earthtec Environmental Inc. 2. The access road to the facility is of all-weather construction and is maintained in good condition. The facility is secured by a locking gate when not in operation. 3. Signs stating the hours of operation and types of acceptable waste are posted at the facility entrance and within the operations area. 4. The facility operations area appears to be less than two acres in size and is delineated by concrete jersey barriers and the surrounding tree line. 5. At the time of this inspection, no unacceptable wastes were observed onsite, and the facility contained well under 6000 cubic yards of material. 6. No areas of standing water or erosion were observed during this inspection. 7. Digital photographs were taken during this inspection.
