2) The required information of Firm name, town name, phone #, and permit # was on both sides of the
pumper vehicle. However, the letter height of the permit number, phone number, and town name was
at 2.5 inches. Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0835(b) states the required lettering shall be no less than three (3)
inches in height. The lettering was distinguishable and not blocked from view.
3) The tank is made of steel and affixed to the frame of the truck as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(1).
4) The valves appeared to be in working order and closed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(2). Caps present
on ports.
5) Access ports were closed and properly sealed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(3).
6) No leaks noticed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a).
7) Pump vehicle did not pass inspection due to the letters for the permit number, phone number, and town
name being less than 3 inches in height. Lettering will need to be corrected and the pumper vehicle re-
inspected.
