OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
1) Pumper vehicle with license plate # NZ-8622 and VIN # 1HTMMAAL92H524890 did not pass inspection
due to violation to Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(1) that states "all tanks shall be constructed of metal
and affixed to the truck bed with permanent fixtures such as bolts." The tank was affixed to the frame
by two cables. The two cables are not considered to be permanent fixtures. The pumper vehicle with
license plate # NZ-8622 and VIN # 1HTMMAAL92H524890 must be re -inspected by the Division prior
to being used to pump or haul septage.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and
any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

2) Of the two pumper vehicles inspected, only the pumper vehicle with license plate # RB-2585 passed
inspection and was found to be in compliance with:
a. The required information of Firm name, town name, phone #, and permit # was on both sides of
the pumper vehicle. Each letter of the required information was greater than three (3) inches in
height. The lettering was distinguishable and not blocked from view. The lettering meets the
requirements of 15A NCAC 13B .0835(b). See pictures below.
b. The tank is made of aluminum and affixed to the frame of the truck as per 15A NCAC 13B
.0835(a)(1).
c. The valves appeared to be in working order and closed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(2). Caps
present on most ports. See picture below where cap is needed.
d. Access ports were closed and properly sealed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(3).
e. No leaks noticed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a).
