Dear Mr. Carroll:
On July 10, 2024, Ms. Amanda Thompson, representing the State of North Carolina, Division of Waste
Management Solid Waste Section (Section) inspected the above referenced facility after receiving a fire
notification from the Harnett County Fire Inspector. At the time of the July 2024 inspection, Section staff
estimated that the facility had approximately 9,500 cubic yards of vegetative waste at the facility. The estimated
volume of vegetative waste observed was over the allotted 6,000 cubic yards of vegetative waste allowed at a
yard waste notification. On September 12, 2024, Ms. Thompson conducted a follow-up inspection to confirm the
processing and removal of the yard waste from the facility. As the time of the September 2024 inspection,
Section staff measured that the facility had less than 6,000 cubic yards of vegetative waste onsite. The facility
was still actively processing and removing the waste from the facility.
This letter serves to confirm that the requirements of the Notice of Violation dated July 19, 2024 have been
satisfied and the violation(s) have been corrected. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any
