The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The facility is secured by a gate at the entrance to prevent unauthorized access except when an operator is on duty.
2. Proper signage was posted at the entrance gate.
3. Mr. Dwayne McCorkle, Mr. Dwayne McCorkle Jr. and/or Mr. Eric McCorkle are the equipment operators and are
on -site during operating hours. Christine Benfield is the office manager/attendant for the site and all haulers check -
in at the office with each load.
4. A copy of the current permit and operations plan are maintained in the office.
5. This permit shall expire October 21, 2025. Significant site changes may require permit modification. The owner
or operator should submit a request to the Section for permit review prior to July 21, 2025, and must update
pertinent facility plans including, but not limited to, the facility operation.

6. The access roads were well maintained and in good condition.
7. Exposed waste was less than 'h acre.
8. No unacceptable waste was observed.
9. No surface water was observed ponding around waste.
10. Side slopes observed appear to be graded at a ratio of three horizontal to one vertical as required by 15A NCAC
13B .0566(2).
11. Ensure all waste is covered with no less than six inches of soil monthly, or when the working face reaches one acre
in size, whichever occurs first as required by 15A NCAC 13B .0566(3).
Treatment & Processing (Wood Grinding)
12. This area is allowed to accept the following wastes only as feedstock: yard and garden waste, silviculture waste, and
untreated and unpainted wood waste with the maximum amount of 6,000 cubic yards material onsite at any given
time, including finished product per Rules 15A NCAC 13B .1402(e)(6)(a), .1403, and .1406(16).
13. During the inspection land clearing debris was observed within the approved Zone #1 area of the landfill.
14. No unacceptable waste was observed.
15. Ensure at least 75 percent of the processed materials is removed for recycling or disposed in the facility LCID unit
within one year of receipt as required by the approved permit.
