Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. Pagel of 3 FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1) 15A NCAC 13B .0838(b): An all-weather access road is maintained. 2) 15A NCAC 13B .0838(c): No holes or cracks which may allow the escape of septage were noted. 3) 15A NCAC 13B .0838(e)(2) and .0838(g): No vector or odor issues were noted. 4) 15A NCAC 13B .0838(i): No debris or vegetation was noted within 5 feet of the tank(s) that hinders the inspection of the tanks(s). 5) 15A NCAC 13B .0838(j): Septage appears to be transferred to and from the detention facility in a manner that prevents leaks or spills of septage onto the ground surface or exterior surface of the detention system. 6) 15A NCAC 13B .0838(k): Proper "No Trespassing" signage was posted on site. 7) 15A NCAC 13B .0838(m): Setback requirements appear to have been met. 8) Additional comments: Potential leak at valve, the ground is saturated near the right tank valve. Make sure the tank valve is not leaking. White debris surrounding right tank, make sure that septage is being transferred in a manner that prevents leaks. Septage spills need to be cleaned up as per Permit Condition 2.
