SUBJECT: Annual Permit Fee for Scrap Tire Collection and/or Disposal Sites.
REFERENCE: Permit No. 43-04
Dear Mr. Womble:
This is intended to serve as a reminder to all permitted fire collection and/or disposal sites that
the annual permit fee is due on or before July 1 of each year. As stated in the North Carolina Solid
Waste Management Rules, 15A NCAC 13B .1102(b), "An annual permit fee shall be paid to the
Division on or before July 1, as follows:
(1) A scrap tire.collection site: two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00); and
(2) A scrap tire disposal site: two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00)."
Please send the appropriate payment, made payable to the North Carolina Department of
Environment, Health and Natural Resources (NCDEHNR), to my attention at P.O. Box 29603,
Raleigh, North Carolina 27611-9603. Any questions regarding your solid waste permit should be
directed to Jim Barber, the Eastern Area Engineer located at the Fayetteville Regional Office, (910)
486-1191. If you have already mailed your permit fee, please disregard this notice and accept our
thanks.
