The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. All photographs were taken by Lee Hill on August 7, 2024.
2. The facility is approved to receive stumps, land clearing debris, untreated and unpainted dimensional lumber and
pallets. Yard trash is not acceptable at the site.
3. The facility is open to the public Monday through Friday, 7:OOAM to 5:30PM, with seasonal hours on Saturdays,
depending on demand.
4. Signage was installed at the entrance of the facility providing the permit number, prohibited materials and
emergency contact information.
5. The facility was secured by gates at the entrance and exit of the facility.
6. Tonnage records were reviewed from the 2023-24 Facility Annual Report. The facility received 23,067 tons of
waste from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
Operations Inspection of the Treatment and Processing Facility (4507-TP-)
7. Interior roadways were of all-weather construction and were being maintained at the time of inspection.
8. Waste and finished product were stored in reasonably sized piles with adequate fire breaks and lanes between
them to allow for vehicular access in case of an emergency.
9. Permanent boundary markers delineating the 50-foot setback to the property line were installed along the north
and west sides of the facility. Stream buffer markers were installed on the west side of the stream.
10. No material was stored in the buffer areas at the time of inspection.
11. No unapproved material was observed in the unground stockpiles.
