Plan to modify as: SW2-A1 – background SW3-A1 – furthest downgradient SW4B-A1 – normally dry, plan to no longer sample individually, observe only SW4C-A1 – normally dry, plan to no longer sample individually, observe only SW5-A1 – normally dry - don’t remove from plan SW6-A1 – destroyed by cover project - don’t remove from plan SW8-A1 – destroyed by cover project - don’t remove from plan SW9-A1 – end of 15” RCP SW10-A1 – plan to add to replace SW4B/C Monitoring well changes: MW1AR-A4 abandoned due to tower project and replaced with MW1AR-A4R MW2A-A1 abandoned due to cover project and replaced with MW2B-A1 Monitoring Reports: Duke WQMRP states that reports submitted to SWS within 90 days from final date of sampling for January, April and July sampling events. The Annual report due by end of March for prior year and to include the November sampling event NCDEQ permit states: “Analytical data for each groundwater and surface water sampling event must be submitted to the section within 60 days of receipt of results from the analytical laboratory.” Duke proposes: Submit a report to NCDEQ within 120 day of groundwater sampling event completion. Report for April GW would also include the January and April SW results Report for November GW would also include the July and November SW results (and be appended to the Annual Report as the annual report is due before end of Q1 for prior calendar year) Piezometers: No changes – quarterly readings with results discussed within the annual report Surface Water Performance Monitoring Protocol: Located in the Water Quality Monitoring and Reporting Plan dated December 14, 2020 (Section 3.2) and submitted to NCDEQ via email that day. Duke Energy then received NCDEQ permit dated the same day. With the cover project being substantially completed in May 2023, Duke Energy understands the performance monitoring period began with the next surface water sampling event which was in July 2023
