Mika,

I presented James with the recent and historical monitoring results and discussed your
recommendation regarding the reactivation of the remediation system. Based on the
historical sampling data, he agreed with the Trust Fund Section’s decision not to approve
system reactivation and suggested continuing with monitored natural attenuation.
Additionally, he mentioned that you can use a generator for power to collect water
samples from the well of Hamby residence at 1612 NC Highway. The cost of the
generator rental can be reimbursed.

I have not received any ePATA for removing remediation system from any UST site. If
you’ve removed any remediation system from a Trust-fund UST site, please share your
experience, and we can work together to address the system removal.
