(AECOM) is pleased to provide documentation following the completion of mailing the public outreach of dry-cleaning contamination for the Dirty Laundry Taphouse (site) located at 240 S. Scales Street Reidsville, Rockingham County, North Carolina.The activities documented herein were completed in accordance with the scope of work approved by DSCA under State Lead Authorization for Work (SLAW) 001, approved November 15, 2023. A Pre-Outreach Letter was mailed to the property owner and petitioner (Monroeton Properties LLC) by United States Postal Service (USPS) on January 17, 2024. A copy of the Pre-Outreach Letter is included as Attachment A. The following were mailed by United States Postal Service (USPS) on January 24, 2024: -A letter entitled “Dry-Cleaning Solvent Contamination” was mailed to the Rockingham County Health Director (Fred “Trey” Wright) and the Reidsville City Manager (Summer Woodard). A copy of the letters sent to the public officials is included as Attachment A. -A copy of the Initial Outreach Letters of Contamination and a Water Supply Well Information Request Form were submitted to the property owners of the 94 parcels located within 500 feet of the site. A copy of the template used to prepare these letters is included as Attachment B. The parcels are shown on Figure 1, and Table 1 summarizes the map numbers for each parcel, property address and ownership for each parcel, the parcel identification number (PIN), and whether a response was received. As of June 28, 2024, a total of 40 responses have been received and the following 1 water supply well (WSW) was identified: -WSW at 308 S. Main Street (Map No. 73 on Figure 1), the property is connected to public water services with the WSW being used for irrigation and toilets. AECOM attempted to contact the property owner of the water supply well listed above on April 29, 2024, AECOM left a message and has not received a response as of June 28, 2024.
