Dear Patrick & Eric,
The NC Division of Waste Management received your notice of cease operation to close the
Septage Land Application Site (permit 4SLAS-79-05) located on SR#1325 in Rockingham County.
The effective cease operation date was September 22, 2022 and a final inspection was performed.
As of this date, permit #SLAS 79-05 has been closed out. If in the future you wish to obtain a
permit for a septage facility or land application site, please contact this office to initiate the
permitting process. Use of a septage facility or land application site that is not permitted may result
in administrative penalties up to $15,000 per violation in accordance with NC General Statute 130A-
22.

with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and
any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1) Had received call that they were closing site.
2) No signage up.
3) The access road was in good shape.
4) Markers had been removed.
5) No evidence of any recent septage applications.
6) Fescue present in the field.
7) No odor issues noticed today.
8) A Cease Operation Form needs to be submitted and also soil samples (fertility and heavy metals) need
to be taken of the field.
