At the time of the inspection, Section staff observed that waste in Phase VII appeared to be pushed close to the tree line by Phase VI. Some areas of the eastern side slope were not properly compacted and covered. The waste needed to be moved away from the tree line and compacted, covered, and properly sloped. The access road along the eastern edge of the LCID Phase VII was not built for all weather passage and accessible as required. A follow-up inspection on April 10, 2024, determined that the LCID is now properly covered, compacted, and sloped. Grass seeding of the area was observed. The all-weather access road has been constructed around the LCID as required. This letter serves to confirm that the requirements of the Notice of Violation dated March 6, 2024, have been satisfied and the violation(s) have been corrected. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (919) 268-1524 or e-mail Autumn.Romanski@deq.nc.gov.
