Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 130A-22(a) and to 15A North Carolina Administrative
Code 13B, you are hereby informed that the Town of Weldon is. in violation of 15A NCAC 13B
.1402 GENERAL PROVISIONS FOR SOLID WASTE COMPOST FACILrIUS (g) (3) (A)
Which stated in part that Small Type I Facilities meet the following conditions, Notification of the
Solid Waste Section prior to operation on an annual basis.
A review records indicates that The Town of Weldon has not submitted the require yard waste
notification form for the past several years.
Therefore the Town of Weldon must submit to the Division a yard waste notification form for
2003 by March 27, 2003 and to continue submitting this form on an annual basis.

Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22(a) and to 15A N.C. Admin. Code 13B, Sections .0701 - .0707, an
administrative penalty of up to $5,000.00 per day may be assessed for violations of the
North Carolina Solid Waste Management Law or Regulations, or for violation of any order issued
thereunder.
