Dear Mr. Chao:

Harnett County requests an amendment to the Operations Plan, Section 2.7 Convenience Center
Operations, which will allow the addition of a collection container, 8ft wide x 20 ft long x 8.5 ft tall for
gently used furniture, toys, and baby furniture and accessories. The container will located at the
convenience center at the landfill with signage. The items deposited at the collection center will be
distributed to non-profits in the County. This will provide an opportunity for diversion of waste
materials.
