Dear Ms. Thrash:
The UST Section, Division of Waste Management, is in receipt of the In-Place Closure request report dated
September 5, 2023. The report has been reviewed and will be maintained in the Mooresville Regional
Office. The UST Section needs more information to approve this in-place closure.
Please include a site map of the facility and the location of the 20,000-gallon UST and the 30,000-gallon
UST. Also, we will need this report stamped by a Professional Geologist with a statement that he/she agrees
with the conclusions and recommendations of this report. If approved for in-place closure, you will need to
make sure you follow the sampling requirements for commercial closures.
If you have questions regarding the information contained in this letter, please contact me at
Ryan.Mills@deq.nc.gov or at 704-235-2175.
Sincerely,
Ryan Mills
