Dear Ms. Bader:

On March 10, 2016 the Solid Waste Section (SWS) received your request for an approval of an
amendment to the Operation Manuals, a component of the Permit to Construct Application (DIN
24434) approved on June 05, 2015. This letter is scanned to the document tracking system with
a DIN 25744. According to the letter, Harnett County (the County) plans to place a container, 8-
feet wide by 20-feet long by 8.5-feet tall, inside the Convenience Center within the Anderson
Creek Landfill Facility to collect recyclables or reusable goods such as, gently used furniture,
toys, and baby furniture and accessories. The County will place proper sign(s) on or by the
container for the purpose.

The SWS approves your request and appreciates the efforts to diverse waste stream for reuse or
recycle made by Harnett County. Please place this approval letter to the landfill facility
operating records.
