Hursey Hurseys@Brightwood LLC 402 Alamance Road, Ste E Burlington, NC 27215 Re: Notice of Regulatory Requirements 15A NCAC 2L .0407(b) Risk-based Assessment and Corrective Action for Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks Brightwood Inn 6501 Burlington Road Whitsett, Guilford County Incident Number: 30141 Risk Classification: High Ranking: 240-D Dear Mr. Hursey: The Groundwater Monitoring Report received by the UST Section, Division of Waste Management, Winston-Salem Regional Office on June 9, 2023 has been reviewed. The risk posed by the discharge or release at the subject site is classified by the Department of Environmental Quality as HIGH, as stipulated under Title 15A NCAC 2L .0406. The land use at the site is classified as residential. Therefore, our office requests that groundwater monitoring be conducted on a semi-annual schedule. In addition, as part of the next monitoring event, our office requests that the water supply wells located at 6494 and 6496 Burlington Road be sampled and analyzed for petroleum constituents. The next monitoring event should be conducted in October 2023.
