Charlotte, Mecklenburg County Brownfields Project No. 23067-19-060 Dear Mr. DeCorte:
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Brownfields Redevelopment Section (DEQ Brownfields) received the VIMS Installation Completion Report for Building 1006 dated May 14, 2024, submitted on your behalf by Mr. Trinh DeSa of Hart & Hickman, PC.
DEQ Brownfields has reviewed the report and evaluated the pre-occupancy sub-slab vapor analytical data using the February 2024 DEQ Risk Calculator. The risk calculations are consistent with those provided in the report and are below the DEQ risk thresholds for residential use. As such, DEQ Brownfields finds the report to comply with Land Use Restriction 13.l.ii.2.
and 13.m. of the Notice of Brownfields Property recorded December 10, 2021, and the previously
approved Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Plan dated February 7, 2022. DEQ Brownfields anticipates future submittal of sub-slab vapor data as outlined in the approved Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Plan.
Please be advised that this compliance review from DEQ Brownfields does not waive any
applicable requirement to obtain necessary permits, licenses or certifications which may be
