Subject:Monitoring Well Abandonment Report
Kinder Morgan Southeast Terminals – Selma Terminal 4
4086 Buffalo Road
Selma, Johnston County, North Carolina 27576
NCDEQ Incident Number: 7037
AECOM Project Number: 60698147
Dear Mr. Currie:
On behalf Kinder Morgan Southeast Terminals (KMST), AECOM Technical Services of North
Carolina, Inc. (AECOM) respectfully submits the attached monitoring well abandonment
documentation associated with the subject facility (Site).
AECOM self-performed monitoring well abandonment activities, under the supervision of an in-
house North Carolina licensed drilling contractor. AECOM abandoned all monitoring wells (MW-1
through MW-9, DMW-1, and DMW-2) at the Site.
Monitoring well construction details are presented in Table 1 and a site map is provided as Figure
1. Each monitoring well was abandoned using a cement slurry introduced from the bottom of the
well to the ground surface using a tremie pipe. The concrete pad and protective well covers were
removed from the ground and the Site was restored to the previous condition. The well
abandonment activities were performed in accordance with 15A NCAC 02C .0113 and the
Conditional Notice of No Further Action Letter received on October 18, 2022. Well abandonment
records (Form GW-30) can be found as an attachment.
If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact me at 704-907-1354 or
brandt.morrow@aecom.com or Angela Scott with KMST at 770-751-4252.
Sincerely,
AECOM Technical Services of North Carolina, Inc.
