Wilmington, North Carolina 28405 Re: Ground Water Sampling Quality Concrete Company 1663 Highway 87 South Fayetteville, North Carolina Cumberland County Incident Number: 11866 GRI Project Number: 5423 Dear Mr. Haseltine; Geological Resources, Inc. (GRI) presents the results of the ground water sampling activities at the Quality Concrete Company site in Fayetteville, North Carolina on January 26 and February 1, 2021. The activities were conducted in accordance with GRI Proposal No. 21-022 was submitted to NCDEQ on January 8, 2021, and approved as Task Authorization No. 11866-3 on January 11, 2021. On January 26, 2021, GRI sampled one Type II monitoring well (MW-2). The ground water samples collected were submitted for analyses of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) + oxygenates by EPA Method 6200B. The depth to water in MW-2 was 3.22 feet below the top of well casing prior to sampling. During the January 26, 2021, sampling event, a field blank was prepared and submitted for laboratory analyses of VOCs + oxygenates by EPA Method 6200B. GRI personnel returned to the site on February 1, 2021, and collected a water sample from the on-site water supply well (WSW-1). The water sample collected from WSW-1 was submitted for laboratory analyses of VOCs + oxygenates using EPA Method 6200B. A Site Location Map and Site Map are attached. Please see the attached laboratory report for the results of the January 2021 ground water sampling. A concentration of vinyl chloride that exceeded the Maximum Allowable Concentration (MAC) was reported in the ground water sample collected from MW-2. Copies of the laboratory reports for ground water samples collected in January and February 2021 are attached. Please contact me at 704-698-1253 or wlr@geologicalresourcesinc.com with any questions or comments.
