STATUS OF PERMIT:
Yard Waste Notification Renewal was approved on September 20, 2023. Please insure that the next renewal is submitted
prior to June 1 each year.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Compliance Inspection
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
None.
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
None.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The access road to the facility is being managed properly at this time.
2. The facility is secured with a locked cable.
3. The tree limbs are tub ground by a contractor on an as needed basis and utilized by local farmers. The leaves are
windrowed and turned. The leaves are utilized as a soil additive for Town projects and by local farmers. Mr.
Perkinson stated that the leaf stockpile are in the process of being removed from the site by the local farmers.
4. The tree branch windrow formed a semi -circle around the yard waste facility. Several fire breaks had been added
to the tree branch windrow since the last inspection.
5. No areas of standing water were observed during this inspection. The area had been graded to properly shed water
from the operating area.
6. The waste stream was identified to be clean during this inspection. No unacceptable wastes were observed. Continue
to ensure that any unacceptable wastes are removed as they were encountered.
7. Digital photographs were taken during the inspection.
