(GRI) presents the results of the ground water sampling activities at the Silver Express site in Charlotte, North Carolina. On December 26, 2023, GRI gauged and sampled monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4. No free product was observed while sampling. Ground water samples were collected from all wells and submitted for analyses of VOCs by EPA Method 6200B including oxygenates. Depths to water in the wells ranged from 23.69 to 26.14 feet below tops-of-casings prior to sampling. A Site Location Map and Site Map are included as Figures 1 and 2. Please see the attached laboratory report for the results of the December 2023 ground water sampling. The concentrations of VOCs in the ground water samples collected from MW-1 through MW-4 exceeded the MACs. The concentration of EDB in the ground water sample collected from MW-1 exceeded the GCL. A summary of ground water sample analytical results is presented in Table 1. A copy of the laboratory report is included as Appendix A.
