During the January 12, 2016 inspection, unacceptable waste streams were observed within the landfill consisting of plastic, plywood, plastic construction fencing, PVC pipe, painted wood, corrugated plastic pipe, felt-like fabric, a piece of metal conduit, and a 5-gallon plastic bucket. This material was concentrated at the western edge of the landfill with the exception of the 5-gallon plastic bucket which was located at the toe of the slope on the south side of the landfill. As a result, Watauga County was found in violation of 15A NCAC 13B .0566(2) and General Permit Condition #6.
