(S+G). The sampling plan was submitted in response to a March 7th 2024 compliance inspection where standing water was observed near the southern end of the transfer trailer loading bay. S+G proposes to collect two discrete soil samples (SS-1 and SS-2) at depths ranging from one to two feet below ground surface in the area of concern following impacted soil excavation. Soil samples will be analyzed for 40 CFR 258 Appendix I constituents, total phosphorus, sulfate, nitrate, and pH. S+G will compare the results of SS-1 and SS-2 samples to background soil sample results from previous investigations and the Preliminary Soil Remediation Goals. Additional analysis using the Synthetic Precipitation Leaching Procedure may be used if initial analytical results indicate the presence of impacted soils. The Section approves the sampling plan and S+G may implement it as proposed.
