ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 1. The reason for visiting City of Laurinburg’s Yard Waste Notification site today was to conduct a comprehensive inspection. Mr. David Powell contacted Ms. Angier Foster prior to visiting the site and informed her of his visit. The other sites belonging to the city nearby were briefly visited such as this debris site (DS). 2. The DS is behind lockable gate/fence and is used by the city only. The road was in good shape. This site is now
also a permitted Air Curtain Incinerator (ACI) and Compost site (8303-Compost-2021 and 8303-TP-2021) with SWS. The normal YW site was in operation with the ACI burning waste and the compost side with waste in windrows. The DS was not in operation or activated at this time. If it would be activated waste would need to be
separated from normal YW operation and an emergency operation. 3. Operations seemed to be going well and align with Permit, rules etc., during inspection. 4. Please remember before using Temporary Disaster Debris Sites, they must be activated by contact Solid Waste Section, but please wait until you are sure that they are needed to keep from robbing yourself of time to operate them.
