Monitor Well Sampling
Former Heather St. Aubin Residence
3132 Airlie Street
Incident #6401
Intermediate Risk Classification
Mecklenburg County
The UST Section of the Mooresville Regional Office received the subject report on June 24. 2004. Upon
review, it was noted that monitor well MW-1 contained C9 — C22 Aromatics at a level of 78, 945 parts per
billion (ppb). I have researched surface water regulations and found that even though the Water Quality
Standards found in 15A NCAC 2B .0200 do not currently list a freshwater standard for C9 — C22 Aromatics, a
National Criteria standard of 20 ppb is applicable for freshwater. In this instance, the subject site mill remain
intermediate risk until you can demonstrate that surface water is no longer at risk from the heating oil UST
release.
If you should have any questions, I can be reached at (704) 663-1699 ext. 236.
Sincerely,
(Zg
