Dear David Cheek:
The Underground Storage Tank (UST) Section, Division of Waste Management (DWM), is in receipt of
the report dated October 31, 2023, prepared on your behalf by Pilot Geological, PLLC. The report has been
reviewed and will be maintained in the Fayetteville Regional Office.
After reviewing the report, the UST section recommends that another monitoring event of the onsite
monitoring wells with subsequent reporting be conducted at the site. The monitoring report should be
comprehensive and include all historical soil and groundwater data with updated cross-sections of soil and
groundwater. The report should also include all Free-Product efforts conducted at the site with cost per
gallon of each event. These requirements were not met in the last monitoring report, please make an effort
to include this information in the next report. Free product recovery should also continue at the site if free
product is encountered in the next monitoring event. Please submit the report by May 1, 2023.
If State Trust Fund reimbursement is anticipated, please submit a completed pre-approval form to the Division before any work has been completed.
