Re: Phase 4 Cell 2 East Minor Modification
Anson County Landfill, Anson County, North Carolina
Permit Number 04-03
Dear Ms. Wilson:
Weaver Consultants Group, LLC on behalf of Chambers Development of North Carolina,
Inc. is submitting this minor modification application for Phase 4 Cell 2 East leachate
collection system. The following section describes how leachate will be
collected/managed in the Phase 4 Cell 2 East area.
1). Phase 4 Cell 2 East leachate will flow to the temporary extraction point located at
the southern end of the cell. (See Drawing 2)
2). A pump will be inserted into the interim riser to pump leachate from the
temporary extraction point. The 4-inch temporary forcemain will be connected
into the side of the interim riser with a tee. (See Drawing 4, Detail L7)
3). A generator will be used to power the pump. It is anticipated that the pump will
be turned on/off manually.
4). Leachate will be pumped from the extraction point through the 4-inch temporary
forcemain to the 2023 previously installed forcemain and ultimately conveyed to
the existing leachate storage area located in the southern side of the Phase 1 area.
(See Drawing 213)
The leachate collection system is detailed in the drawings included in Attachment 1.
During the course of your review, if you have any questions or require further
information, please call.
Sincerely,
Weaver Consultants Group, LLC
