Consultech Environmental, LLC currently holds North Carolina Corporate Geology license number C-0497. 2 RECEPTOR INFORMATION In September 2023 Consultech personnel performed a receptor survey of the area near the former UST system (source area). The survey consisted of a vehicular reconnaissance of the area on September 14, 2023, interviews with available nearby property owners, and submitting requests for information to the County health department and the local water authority / service. Outlined below is a summary of our findings. Water Supply Wells No water supply wells were observed within 1500’ of the former UST basin. No previous reports have any information on water supply wells within 1500 feet of the site. Water supply well information is summarized in Table 1. Monitoring Wells No monitoring wells were located at the Henry Sloan Estate site location. Since the last report, the site was cleared and a new gas station was built. All of the previously installed monitoring wells have been destroyed. The site did have six monitoring wells before the new gas station was built. Public Water Supplies The area surrounding the site utilizes municipal water for drinking purposes. Surface Water No surface water was located within 1500 feet of the site. Receptor information is Included in Table 1 and Figure 2. Wellhead Protection Areas Wellhead Protection Areas are administered by the North Carolina Division of Environmental Quality, Public Water Supply (PWS) Section. According to the PWS, no Wellhead Protection Areas are located within 1,500 feet of the source area. Deep Aquifers of the Coastal Plain Physiographic Province The site property is not located in the Coastal Plain Physiographic Province. Subsurface Structures Underground utilities are located along West Main St. The utilities include underground water lines, communication lines, sanitary sewer lines and aboveground power and communication lines. The utilities are located outside of the estimated former UST location. Land Use The current structures on site are the gas station pumps, convenience store, storage shed, and 3 the current USTs. Adjacent properties include commercial buildings to the north, east, and west. Residences are located to the south.
