Risk-based Assessment and Corrective Action for Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks
Food Lion Distribution Center UST #19070 & AST 96760

In May 1997 a release was reported from the former UST system at the subject site when they were removed and replaced with an AST system which had a reported release in August 2021. A significant amount of free phase product was released to the subsurface from the AST release and has completely overtaken the remining UST release. Per comments from James Brown in the RUST database, the remaining contamination is all attributed to the AST release. As such, incidents 19070 is being administratively closed. This determination shall apply unless the UST Section later determines that the discharge or release poses an unacceptable risk or a potentially unacceptable risk to human health or the environment.
