Risk-based Assessment and Corrective Action for Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks
Heart of Fletcher UST
91 Parrish Municipal Drive, Fletcher, NC Incident Number 28424
In May 2006, a release was reported at the subject site under incident 28424. This site is part of the larger Town of Fletcher property that received a Brownfields redevelopment notice in 2010 referred to as the Piedmont Triad Research Park (Northern) Brownfield’s # 05007-01-045. A 36-page Brownfield’s Notice with soil and groundwater restrictions for both petroleum and non-petroleum compounds was placed on the property on 8/16/2005, Book 1239, starting on page 425, followed by public notice to allow for redevelopment. The land is currently being used by the Carolina Log Home Company.
Based on this information, the UST Section finds it appropriate to classify the risk of the former discharge or release as low and that no further action is warranted for this incident as any remaining assessment or remedial actions were considered completed upon the placement of the Brownfields NORP and public
notice. This determination shall apply unless the UST Section later determines that the discharge or release poses an unacceptable risk or a potentially unacceptable risk to human health or the environment.
