Dear Ms. Parrish: The referenced site had been accepted into the North Carolina Underground Storage Tank (UST) State Lead
cleanup program. One groundwater monitoring well was installed at the site during September 2006. Observations made during installation of the monitoring well in conjunction with the private well users in the area, indicates that it is necessary to conduct additional assessment activities. The UST Section authorized
Force Environmental Services to install addition wells at the site, and according to Force, you prohibited them from drilling in certain areas of the site. To properly determine the extent of petroleum contamination at the site, all areas of the site must be accessible. A right of entry agreement to allow installation of the
additional wells is attached for your signature. In addition, a site map showing the proposed well locations is attached. As indicated on the site map, it is necessary to install at least one monitoring well on the property you own at 6095 Pine Hall Road, Walnut Cove, NC. Furthermore, it may be necessary to conduct
assessment activities on your property at 6110 Pine Hall Road, Walnut Cove, NC. If you have any questions, please contact me at [phone].
