This memo is a follow-up to our conversation earlier this week in regards to
Contract V 6022, Amendment No. 2, Dated November 20, 1997 between DENR
and Joel Hirschhorn/Hirschhorn & Associates.
I would like to have this contract extended until May 31, 1998. This additional 60
days will allow us to complete the Phase II detoxification report and provide an
opportunity for Dr. Hirschhorn to participate in the preparation of and possible
presentation of the funding requests to the General Assembly for detoxification of
the PCB Landfill in Warren County.
No additional funds will be required for this extension. Dr. Hirschhorn did not
find it necessary to utilize all of his allocated monies for the Phase II project and
therefore would be available to provide assistance on the detoxification funding
issue in order to complete his contract.
A contract budget form 2482 is attached. Dr. Hirschhorn is in agreement with an
extension of his contract.
