Archie Lee, Chief ---/ L Hazardous Waste Secti~~~ Beverly Hudson, RPM N9rth Site Management Branch Waste Management Division During the week of March 10, 1997, split samples were collected when I conducted the Technical Systems Audit at the Warren County PCB Landfill Site. The following report of findings summarizes the results. A total of 8 samples were split: 1 leachate, 3 ground water, 1 surface water, 1 sediment and 2 soil samples. All of the above environmental media samples were collected, preserved, handled, and documented according to the requirements and procedures found in the USEPA, Region 4, Environmental Investigations Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance Manual, (EISOPQAM), May, 1996. The results indicate that low concentrations of PCBs and Dioxins were detected only in the landfill leachate, soil and sediment samples. However, no PCBs or Dioxins were found in the grouno. water or surface water samples. Table 1 lists the analytical data, summary for the leachate, ground water and surface water and Table 2 lists the analytical data summary for the soil and sediment sample results. The laboratory data sheets are included as Appendix A. Also attached are copies of the site map and the Receipt For Samples _which lists the samples that were split.
