OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
None.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The facility includes an active MSW landfill, closed MSW landfill, a closed C&D landfill, a permanent HHW
collection site, a white goods collection area, an electronics collection area, and a convenience area for
Davidson County residents. The inspection only covered the closed MSW landfill.
2. The closed MSW landfill ceased accepting waste on December 16, 2008.
3. The site is secured by perimeter fencing along with natural topography. Site access is controlled by locking
gates.
4. Access roadways were observed to be of all-weather construction and in good condition.
5. Edge of waste markers were observed.
6. Landfill side slopes were observed. At the time of the inspection no evidence of erosion was found.
7. The landfill side slopes, and landfill cap were observed to have well -established vegetative cover.
8. No evidence of leachate seeps were observed at the time of the inspection.
9. No tress or woody vegetation were observed.
10. The landfill cap was observed to be in good condition with no ponding water observed at the time of inspection.
11. The facility conducts the required groundwater monitoring on a semi-annual basis.
12. Groundwater monitoring wells were inspected and found to be locked and properly labeled with the required
information.
