Sarah and Claire —This is a notification to NCDEQ Solid Waste Section that Duke Energy plans to commission the
Structural Fill (CC130031) north stability feature phase 1 dewatering wells as early as Friday, November 10, 2023.
The phase 1 wells were approved for installation on July 10, 2023 (FID 1810472). No excavation of sluiced ash will occur
until Duke Energy's Stability Feature Dewatering Plan and Excavation Plan are submitted to the Section per Solid Waste
permit condition Attachment 3, Part VII, #26.
