I reviewed your response to our letter of June 7, 2021 after receiving it. You indicate that 
surface water sampling is unnecessary from the unnamed tributary 440 ft downgradient from 
the site based on your modeling results. Although your modeling indicates surface water 
would not be impacted based on limited site data and data from other sites, a surface water 
needs to be collected for lab analysis for our evaluating if surface water is impacted now.

Good morning. Please find attached for your review is a Response to Comments Letter regarding the requests made by 
the Guilford County in a letter dated June 7, 2021.  

Based on the information outlined in the attached Letter, Arcadis, on behalf of E&PS, respectfully requests no surface 
water sampling of the unnamed tributary take place, no further inquiry into off‐Site impacts based on confirmed 
groundwater flow direction, the risk level for the Site be reclassified as “low”, and a No Further Action (NFA) status be 
granted for the Site.
