Spillcon, Inc. was contacted for emergency cleanup services from Berry’s Container Services &
Gastonia Fire Department for a garbage truck that had its fuel tank punctured and was leaking diesel fuel on the paved road. Berry’s Container Service required immediate containment, remediation, & proper disposal of impacted materials relating to the incident involving the truck resulting in spilling approximately but no more than 100 gal. of diesel fuel. Upon arriving on
scene Spillcon contained the spill, the site was then prepped for extraction of the truck and
cleaning of the site using environmental absorbents, booms, and pressure washer. All contaminated materials and fluids were then put into a lined roll off container and disposed of in compliance with EPA guidelines. No further action should be necessary.
