Dear Mr. Mendez:
On June 22, 2023, the Division of Waste Management’s Underground Storage Tank Section, Mooresville Regional Office, received a Letter Report for the above-referenced site. This report has been reviewed and will remain in the UST Section’s files. Upon review, the Division has determined that you must complete a Mobile Multi-Phase Extraction event utilizing monitoring well MW-1 prior to the next groundwater sampling event, which should be conducted in January 2024. The MMPE must be completed a minimum of two weeks prior to sample collection. After completion of the MMPE, you must collect a groundwater sample from MW-1to be submitted to a North Carolina
certified laboratory for the appropriate analyses as set forth in the latest edition of the UST Section’s Assessment Guidelines. The MMPE data and laboratory analytical report must be received by this office no later than February 28, 2024.
