Wendell, NC 27591 PARTICIPANTS: Amanda Thompson, NCDEQ, Solid Waste Section Date of Last Inspection: STATUS OF PERMIT: The most recent renewal was received on May 18, 2018. Per 15A NCAC 13B .1402 (g)(1), the owner or operator of any Type 1 Solid Waste (yard waste) facility which occupies less than two acres of land and be limited to no more than 6,000 cubic yards material onsite at any one time, including finished produce, shall submit a renewal form to the Section by June lst of each year. A yard waste notification facility renewal MUST be submitted as soon as possible. PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Compliance Inspection NOTICE OF VIOLATIONS None. OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None. The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. The facility is secured by a locking gate. 2. A sign identifying the yard waste facility with emergency phone numbers was identified and located adjacent to the entrance. 3. The waste identified at the site appears to have been there for some time and has become overgrown. Mr. Evans stated that the machine located at the facility was being repaired. It is recommended that the waste be processed as soon as the machine is repaired. 4. No areas of standing water were observed, and the area was sloped to properly shed water. 5.
