Gentlemen:
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Brownfields Redevelopment Section
received the VIMS Installation Completion Report Report Rev. 2 dated August 10, 2023 (Report). This
Report was submitted only for the new structure located at 169 Industrial Drive. DEQ Brownfields
understands this building has been constructed in accordance with the Vapor Intursion Mitigation Plan dated
October 5, 2021 (VIMP).
DEQ Brownfields reviewed the analytical data provided in the Report, and evaluated the analytical data using
the DEQ Risk Calculator. The results of this evaluation were below the DEQ thresholds for residential use.
Based on the available data, DEQ Brownfields has determined that the building located at 169 Industrial
Drive of the Brownfields Redevelopment is currently in compliance with Land Use Restriction 4 of the
recorded Notice of Brownfields Property. DEQ Brownfields understands that ongoing annual sub-slab soil
gas and indoor air monitoring will be completed in accordance with the approved VIMP.
Please be advised that this approval from DEQ Brownfields does not waive any applicable requirement to
obtain any necessary permits, licenses or certifications which may be required from other state or local
