The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and
any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1) The Septage Land Application Site consists of a 45-acre site which shall maintain a cropping system of
rye/ryegrass and sorghum/sudan and is divided into three fields known as Field 1 (13.8 acres), Field 2 (18.6
acres), and Field 3 (12.6 acres)
2) The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage and grease trap pumpings.
3) 15A NCAC 13B .0842(a)(2): appropriate signage was displayed at the entrance to the site, reading
"Septage Land Application Site No Trespassing"
4) 15A NCAC 13B .0842(a)(3): All weather roads were adequately maintained.
5) 15A NCAC 13B .0842(a)(10): All fields had disposal area boundaries that were delineated with
permanent markers which corresponded to the site map.
6) No septage applications noticed outside of the permitted boundaries of the fields.
7) Applications appeared to follow the nutrient management plan. No spot dumps or thick applications
were noticed. Quality of crop was excellent. Field 2 had a bare spot that had just been reseeded prior to
the inspection.
8) No issues were noticed with the setbacks.
