Rocky Mount, NC 27801 Dear Mrs. Medlin: RE: Notice of No Further Action 15A NCAC 2L .0407 Risk Based Assessment and Corrective Action for Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks J&J Quick Mart 1909 Leggett Rd, Rocky Mount, Edgecombe County, NC Incident Number: 3770 Risk Classification: Low On February 7, 2006, the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Section of the Division of Waste Management received a Soil and Groundwater Assessment Report for the above- referenced site. A review of the report reveals no petroleum-contaminated soil or groundwater in excess of the Residual Maximum Soil Contaminant Concentrations (MSCCs) established in 15A NCAC .0411 or the groundwater quality standards established in 15A NCAC 2L .0202, respectively. Additionally, the area is supplied with municipal water. Based on information provided to date, the UST Section finds it appropriate to classify the risk of the discharge or release as low. Furthermore, the Section determines that no further action is warranted for this incident. This determination shall apply unless the Section later determines that the discharge or release poses an unacceptable risk or potentially unacceptable risk to human health or the environment or additional information is provided to warrant re- assessment of the site. Pursuant to 15A NCAC 2L .0407, you, as the property owner, have a continuing obligation to notify the UST Section of any changes that you know of or should know of, that might affect the level of the risk assigned to the discharge or release. Also, please be advised that the monitor well used to investigate this incident was abandoned properly in accordance with 15A NCAC 2C .0113 and .0114 by the State Lead Contractor. Mrs. Faye S.
