Box 1006 Liberty, NC 27298 RE: Supply Well Sampling Results Former Handy Pantry of Liberty 204 North Greensboro Street Liberty, NC Incident#30208 Dear Mr. Taylor: On behalf of the North Carolina Underground Storage Tank Section, ECS personnel collected a water sample from the supply well located at 234 N. Greensboro Street, Liberty, NC on September 2, 2016. The water sample was analyzed for volatile organic compounds using EPA Method 6200B. According to the laboratory, the sample contained 1,1-dichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, and trichloroethylene at concentrations of 0.60 micrograms per liter (µg/L), 0.52 µg/L, and 1.2 µg/L, respectively. A Health Risk Evaluation was performed on the analytical test results, and according to the HRE, no restrictions on the use of the water are recommended at this time.
