On November 18, 1997, following your request to Ms. Monica Brown of the
Warren County Environmental Health Division, Mr. Larry Rose of the Division of
Waste Management sampled your potable water well.
This sample was submitted to the state laboratories of the Division of Laboratory
Services to be analyzed for polychlorinated bi-phenyls (PCBs).
No PCBs were detected in your well water. The detection limit was .0001 parts
per million, and therefore the results are reported as less than .0001 parts per
million. For reference purposes, the drinking water standard for PCBs is .0005
parts per million, which is more than five times the detection limit.
