As you are aware, the Division of Waste Management is required by the EPA as a
condition of the permit for the PCB landfill to conduct semi-annual monitoring of the landfill.
The fir.st part of the testing for this year was done during the Site Investigation Work which
started (on site) in February.
We will be sending a crew out to the landfill within the next two to three weeks to do the
second round of sampling. I am enclosing the sampling locations we plan to use, and you will
note that we have added additional points, specifically six of the monitoring wells installed this
spring which are closest to the landfill.
The testing requirement calls for PCB's, specific conductance, pH and temperature.
