Dear Mr. Hall:
This office acknowledges the receipt of your Request to Abandon Site Monitoring and Remediation
Wells for the referenced site on April 13, 2023. The request has been reviewed and maintained in the
Guilford County Health Department in Greensboro.
After reviewing the request, we recommend additional wells need to be retained for future monitoring
based on the locations of wells and historical groundwater sampling results. MW-51 can be abandoned
because it is located cross-gradient and approximately 900 feet from the source area. MW-6 can be
abandoned and SME-10 is retained as a replacement. MW-12, MW-37, MW-38, MW-35 need retaining
based on their locations and historical sampling results.
